Appointments

How do I book an appointment or speak to my doctor or nurse?

  • phone us on 01597 824291
  • use My Health Online*
  • complete an E-consultation from our website

When you telephone the surgery, our trained reception staff will ask you for a brief reason for your appointment so they can make sure you get to see the right clinician.   We offer:

*Appointments in advance to see a clinician of your choice

*If your problem is more urgent we will offer you an appointment that day. Requests are triaged by our clinical staff and you will receive a call back.

*If you require advice, arrangements can be made for a Nurse or Doctor to return your call.  This is useful for discussing test results or to get some advice on your medication, etc.

HOME VISITS:  If you are unable to come to the Surgery and require a home visit, please telephone before 10.30am.  Home visits are very time consuming and wherever possible patients should attend Surgery.

E-MAIL USING:  E-CONSULT to Consult Your Doctor Online:  Accessed from our website homepage.  E-consults are convenient for non-urgent health advice from your doctor, or admin queries (eg. requesting another fit note, joint pain) but are not suitable for urgent health problems.  You can access anytime with internet access.  Your consultation is a quick, secure questionnaire, which is reviewed by one of our GPs and you will receive a response within 72 hours offering advice.  You must be over 18 and registered at our practice.  This service cannot be used for help with your child.

Your GP Practice provides this website in collaboration with NHS Wales and your GP system supplier.  Once you’ve created an account you will be able to use the features your GP Practice has made available, which include:

  • Book and cancel appointments
  • Request repeat prescriptions

Before being able to create an account, you must get a registration letter from your GP.  As part of the registration process, you will be asked to prove your identity. This is one of the measures in place to protect the information that your GP holds about you. Full details about the process are available from your GP practice.
