Update on appointments

Please visit our website for self-help advice and eConsult, which is suitable for non-urgent medical queries, repeat fit notes, asthma and contraceptive pill reviews.

Please do phone us for an appointment if you have a medical concern and don’t be worried about getting in touch with us.   Our receptionist will ask you the reason for your call to make sure you are given the right type of appointment.

The 2m social distancing remains in place and whilst we are inviting some people in to the surgery for a blood test or a face to face appointment with a clinician, we can only manage so many patients in the surgery at one time.

Most appointments remain by telephone and we ask you to not to come to the surgery unless we have invited you to do so.

If you come in for an appointment please wear a face covering, use the hand sanitiser on entry and exit and wipe your chair after use with one of the wipes available in the waiting room.  Please don’t bring anyone else with you unless you need assistance.

We continue to hold urgent care telephone clinics for same day medical problems.  These appointments are for conditions that cannot wait until the next routine appointment with your doctor.  They are not suitable for asking about results, medication queries or problems you have been experiencing for a long time. These problems need a booked routine telephone appointment with your own doctor.

For minor injuries, bites, stings and minor burns please attend the Minor Injuries Unit at  Llandrindod Wells War Memorial Hospital tel. 01597 822735

Hospital waiting lists are long and it can be worrying to know whether your referral is in place.   Please speak to our secretaries for these queries or if you know to which hospital department you have been referred, contact them directly as they will be best able to help you.  Some useful numbers are
